From Community post to Devlog´s!

So, when we first start this project, we didn't have a deep knowledge about itch.io and the tools it provides. But now, we have more knowledge about project management, and we see the need to change our tool to make updates. From community post to, devlogs.

But Why We Make This?

Our Community post
Some of the post we make in the past... Oh, God! [04/27/2025]

Well... as you can see, this previous system of making updates through our community board was a little bit too messy. Our community was saturated of post, and post, and post, with not so much, or nothing, of deep explanation of our project and the progress, and this generated a series of problems:.

The problems:

  • This way of making updates takes up a lot of space on the project page.
  • It generates a lot of visual noise, which can cause it to decrease attention rather than attract attention.
  • The community posts within the project didn't really generate visibility, and it is there, in the search to get these updates to reach more people, that we discovered the devlog tool.
  • Due to the nature of community posts, we didn't really have the (esthetic) tools to make a good post, where we could elaborate and talk in detail about our individual and group process.

So, correcting our mistakes, we decide to migrate our format to make updates, and summarize in a following devlog the content and progress of each post we previously made in the community board.

We hope that adopting this new format will be a better way to give visibility to our project, and demonstrate the step by step of our process to other creators and followers.

So, until next time!
