City Models - Principal Institutions
This week I worked more than other things to start with the polishing of modeling in the city, so I modeled the main buildings according to the aesthetics of our game to get away from blocking.
This city model was made in Autodesk Maya, and I added basic lambert materials while the final texturing was done. The process of this was first to do a complete blocking of the whole city and where the buildings were going to be, this is the model that we have implemented at the moment in our prototype (the blocking). To do the polishing of the main buildings (Clinic and Civil Registry) I am using the resource of aesthetic memory to create spaces as close as possible to reality. For example, the Clinic is based on the Unidad de Salud Integral para Personas Trans (USIPT) and the Registro Civil on the main civil registry of the CDMX. For the other interactive points, the shopping mall was based on common patterns of a 90's shopping mall, the little shop was based on a generic little shop in the corner of the neighborhood and the apartments were made with a minimalist aesthetic with patterns that I like in buildings.
They are still in the base stage and things need to be improved, especially the textures and then they will be implemented to the game.
