POLISHING - City
This week I worked on polishing the city after the blcoking. The scenery of the city was chosen to be an area that looks central and where there could be this kind of institutions combined with a residential area. But that's why we divided 3 zones: departmental zone (where our character's house will be located), commercial zone (where the clinic will be located), and office zone (where the civil registry will be located). Each respective zone will have “generic” buildings that will help with the theme of the separation by zones, these buildings will not be accessible, but they will have characterization that will give more life to the city of the game.
To create these new buildings I based them on the base buildings of Mexico City, although the shopping mall was made with an old 90's aesthetic. The store is based on any corner store in a neighborhood in Mexico or those found in downtown Mexico City. The apartment has a minimalist style, surrounded by other buildings with more generic aesthetics of residential neighborhoods of the CDMX.
All of them are painted in lambert directly from Autodesk Maya, a program in which the scenery modeling process is also being carried out. The final texturing is still to be done in Substance Painter.
